What is circus? A question that is pondered and argued over and over again by succeeding generations.

Whatever you may believe it to be, it is always usually more -- or less -- than your personal definition. You are likely never to find it perfectly realized, totally to your liking, in any one particular performance.

When you do, of course, then you embrace a vision that to you marks a "masterpiece." But not necessarily to the person sitting next to you. From one age group to the next, the expected elements are altered, revamped.
